Hard skills or job-specific skills are indeed important and required to perform the job duties. Hard skills are specific and recruiters definitely look for hard skills when going through an individual’s profile. But the technical skills are not the only thing that you must have. There are a number of soft skills which every recruiter wants. The recruiters want candidates which not only have good knowledge and experience but also possess some great soft skills and personality traits.

We cannot prioritize any of the skill set and say which one is better. Both the hard and soft skills are important and complementary to each other.

Think about doctors. We all would prefer visiting a doctor who is having a positive attitude and possess good communication skills.
