Virtual Reality

First of all, what is Virtual Reality? What is it used for?

The term Virtual Reality means an Imaginary world which a person can see or a duplicate copy of something real which we can't touch but we can see, and with the help of Softwares, we can imagine ourselves in such a place which is far away from the reality and user predicts it as a real environment.

Virtual Reality is a concept, which is designed through technology to give a wonderful experience to users. And is helpful to relax your mind and body to enjoy the moments which you want yourself to live in.

It is not just for entertainment purpose; this technology is designed in such a way that it is helpful in several ways –

It is used for training purposes in the Military as these trainees experience their world in different situations or challenges that are supposed to arrive in the future during their service. In that case, they gain preparation and training through the virtual reality concept.

Not only this, it is helpful for Medical training and sportspersons.

And also useful to cure Depression, Phobias, etc. and helps patients to divert their minds and control their fear during their treatment in hospitals.

We can call a Virtual as a thing which has no physical existence, but it is appeared by using the software.

The Example of Virtual Reality is – Volvo reality ( A Leading Car Brand)

How can you see Virtual Things?

Products are -:

  • Google Cardboard
  • Day Dream View Headset
  • Samsung Gear VR
  • 3D Print Designs

Augmented Reality

In simple words, Augmented Reality is the concept in which we can see the Virtual things in our Real World; these things add to our reality rather than replacing it.

Augmented Reality is a technology that merges original and Digital Scenes to provide a quality output of View.

It is the updated version of Virtual Reality, and not just for entertainment purpose

The uses and benefits of Augmented Reality are the same to an extent but more updated as compared to VR

The best example of Augmented Reality is Snapchat

How can we see the virtual world in reality? What are the products which help us to use this Technology?

  • Microsoft HoloLens
  • Magic Leap Lightyear
  • Vuzix Blade AR
  • Google Glass Enterprise Edition

Mixed Reality

It is the updated version of Both Virtual and Augmented Reality. It is a mixture of both.

That means Mixed Reality is a concept in which we can experience both virtual and augmented environments, but we can touch, feel and Interact with the Virtual things in our real-world also. It is possible due to advancements in Technology. Mixed Reality introduced in the year 1994 by Paul Milgram and Fumio Kishino

Products to see Mixed Reality Technology –

  • Intel Core i5 dual-core with hyperthreading
  • Intel HD Graphics
  • 8GB Ram
  • HDMI 1.4, 2.0 or display port 1.3
  • USB 3.0
  • 100GB SSD
  • Bluetooth 4.0

Difference

In Virtual Environment, the user goes into the Imaginary World and suspends all related to the real environment for some time.

In Augmented Reality, User sees the Virtual Things into his Real World, but can't interact with them

In Mixed Reality, the user can experience the Virtual Things in his real world but can interact with the VR things as these things are responsive in the case of Mixed Reality.
