A black hole is known as a region in space where there is a maximum pulling force of gravity. At this point, light is unable to escape. The gravity force is strong because the matter is pressed into a tiny space. So some black holes can be the result of dying stars. Light cannot escape from these holes, or it gets stuck within these holes, so they are black and generally invisible to the human eye. We will be able to see the black holes only with a special telescope.
In other words, when an object reaches its critical level of density, then its gravity causes it to collapse into a very small and infinite pinpoint. A stellar-mass black hole comes into existence when a big star becomes unable to produce energy in its core. Radiations that arises from its nuclear reactions, try to keep the star puffed up but the gravity forces the star to collapse. The outer part of the star explodes and gets divided into tiny pieces. These pieces remain in the space, or sometimes they get into the black hole and make it quite heavier.
Sometimes it happens that the two black holes meet. The gravitational forces of these two black holes will attract each other in this situation. And after this attraction, they will get closer and closer. When they get closer, this collective mass as a whole will shake or vibrate the nearby space-timing. Actually, in this way, they send back the gravitational waves. For the very first time in 2015, astronomers discovered these gravitational waves. They saw the black holes for the very first time, and they confirmed that yes they exist. Before this time, they had an idea of black holes, but it was not confirmed. So officially in 2015, it was said that the black holes had an existence in the real world.
Many researchers claim that these supermassive big black holes would be very small initially. In the earliest days of our universe, their size was small, but with time they absorbed gas and dust. They get merged and ultimately they formed colossal monsters.
Still, research is going on these black holes and astronomers are trying their best to reveal the more interesting and real facts.
