Head in the clouds

When you start doing anything for the first time, whether it be coding or any other work, it is obvious to make mistakes. But the real credit lies in the facet when you can correct your mistakes and get better at it.

Programming is currently one of the most demanding professions. For people who want to learn to code or are already taking classes should be aware of their mistakes.

Common programming mistakes made by people

Most new learners commit some common programming mistakes. We have listed some of the mistakes to give you an idea. Go through the pointers given below so that you can avoid making these mistakes.

  1. Bad code formatting
This is one of the biggest flaws made by learners. An experienced programmer can easily figure out by the messy formatting that it has been written by a newbie. Not having a consistent format style and not intending code are some of the examples of bad code formatting. This is one thing that the learners need to take care of if they want to improve their skills.
  2. Improper use of lower case and upper case
You must know that some programming languages are case sensitive and therefore, the wrong usage of upper and lower case letters can mess up your coding. The sooner you learn to fix these mistakes, the better it is for you.
  3. Self-doubt
When you are doubtful about your work, you can never perform well. This is quite common in programmers who have just started new. It is fine to get scared, but having low confidence can hamper your work performance. You need to be confident about what you are doing.
  4. Confusion between frameworks, languages, and IDEs
When you start learning to program, you have to deal with different languages. This may be very difficult for you to handle in the beginning, and therefore, it is quite natural to get confused. In the beginning, you are not aware of the important things. This could make things even harder for you. Therefore, you should first learn the basics and then get started with coding so that you face fewer problems.

Well, these are some of the main mistakes made by programmers in the beginning. However, all of this may get fixed with experience and practice. The more you practice, the better you get.
