Be scared and do it anyway

An industrial robot can be defined as a robotic system which is used for the manufacturing industry. As we are talking about Industrial robots, so it means they are an automated one and also programmable. It is capable of making movements on three or even some on more axes. When we pay attention towards growing popularity of the robotic automation which is going across different sectors, we understand that the trend will continue over the next couple of years, as because businesses will get the advantage of several benefits which it is offering.

Application of industrial robots for manufacturing will optimize the efficiency, but many debates on the fact and say that decrease of human control on robots comes with certain drawbacks too. Many people now are scared and fear that robots are empowered to take their jobs in the coming time. Well, in reality, it is not the actual case. Robots offer more advantages when compared to the disadvantages it causes towards the workplace.  We need to understand the benefits it is contributing to us before commenting on the drawbacks.

1. Cost Effectiveness: This is one of the biggest advantages of industrial robots which is hard to ignore. Robots don’t need lunch breaks, leaves, bonus or shift time as they are automatic.  You can set the work time, and it will continue doing the work with the repetitive cycle.  You need to maintain it correctly and follow the program instructions.

2. Quality assurance:  You set the standard of quality which you want to have, and the robot will strictly follow the set parameters. Because of excellent accuracy levels, robots are capable of manufacturing the finest quality products which are as per certain quality standards and also reduce the time for quality control.

3. Safety, Speed, and Consistency: Safety is one of the key advantages which a robot offers. Heavy machinery, machines which are using hot temperature, as well as sharp objects,  can end up injuring a human being. By handing over the dangerous tasks to these robotic systems, you may need to spend for repair bill and not on high figure medical bill. Speed is something hard to beat. Robots do not require taking breaks and can consistently work with perfection and that too at huge speed.

The above 3 things are significant benefits of industrial robots, and there are many more which will encourage you to introduce it in your manufacturing unit. Robots need huge upfront investments for both hardware as well as software. If you can bear it, then it's definite yes that robots are advantages.
