Life coaches are required to complete a certified training program which is available through organizations such as the International Coach Federation (ICF). Key skills for life coaches include good communication skills, creative outlook, problem-solving attitude, goal setting, management and a lot of patience factor. There are many other organizations too that give life coach training, but the one here is very prominent. This institute offers three certificates namely:
Associate Certified Coach(ACC)
Professional Certified Coach(PCC)
Master Certified Coach(MCC)
Also, the life coach has to complete certain training hours which range from around 100 to 2500 hours depending on the type of certificate applied. This experience requirement may be satisfied by group coaching, individual coaching, etc. It may also be done over telephones and other mediums too. Last but not least, the life coach should continue his training program from time to time to have a better understanding and expertise in his or her particular field.
