You should use proper face masks or respirators in areas where there are airborne radiation particles.
One should be very alert while handling radiation sources. Workers should always wear the necessary clothing to control the amount of radiation they are being exposed to. The radiation sources once exhausted can still emit harmful radiations, so proper care should be taken while disposing of them.
