Every student all around the world would have taken a huge break from their normal routines since March of this year because of the COVID 19 pandemic. Right?
Unless someone is super motivated and super human, they couldn't possibly pull off maintaining their study routine with so much chaos in this world.
Colleges, schools, offices, transport : everything shut down for almost half a year. With so much economic financial crisis and huge spike in unemployment and hundreds of thousands of deaths and millions of infections, it's fairly good to accept that 2020 was an awful year for almost everyone around the world.
So don't be too hard on yourself for not being able to study and get the tasks done during this time.
So what can we to get back on track and get back the perfect study routines now that the world is slowly going back to normal?
EMOTIONAL AND PHYSICAL HEALTH:
Before anything else, it's extremely important for you to keep your mental, emotional and physical health in check
A lot of people lost their family members, dearest friends and lovers in this pandemic which would have taken a toll on their mental and emotional well being.
If you are grieving through a loss, take it easy for a few months. Working can be a good distraction but that shouldn't be an excuse to run away from the bad feelings that you might be having.
Coming to physical health, millions of people world wide are infected by this virus. I got infected twice in fact. So if you are recovering from the illness, make sure you sleep and eat well everyday.
This is not the time to hustle and push beyond the limits because your health is way more important than anything else.
SET ACHIEVABLE SHORT AND LONG TERM GOALS:
Setting goals is a normal thing that everyone does. But how many people actually go through the entire process to tick off the goals when completed?
It's important to set annual, monthly and weekly goals to better track your progress and keep an eye on the big picture as well.
Most students would now be aiming to get admissions into a college. So depending on the location of the desired university, you have to select a study abroad exam like GRE, TOEFL, SAT, IELTS, PSAT and so on and you have to be at the top of the preparations to get the cut off scores to get the admissions
So set goals. Practice. Work on your weaknesses. Analyze your work and excel. Setting such goals in essential for achieving anything!
HAVE A BALANCE IN DAILY ROUTINE:
Most people try to overdo their study plan. They either over estimate or under estimate their skills and talents.
Have a balanced approach to your study plan. Health, work, love, happiness is what makes a proper balance.
So don't over work and burn out which would destroy your will power and you can say good bye to your dreams. Have a balanced approach to life and you can make consistent progress no matter what.
JOIN ONLINE COMMUNITIES:
Recently I have realized that being a part of a community does more good to us than anything else.
Join a community related to your niche/industry. Be a active member of that community and I can guarantee you that you will grow through this way more than the scope of growth you have being on your own.
Meet like minded people and start conversations and grow from the whole experience.
