Amazing uses of chocolates that you probably didn’t know 17 September, 2019

Can you think of anything more delicious than chocolate? I guess not. Chocolate cake, chocolate cookies, or chocolate sauce, we all have our favorite ways to enjoy this favorite product. Not only it is delicious but a very good aid for a broken heart too (telling you from personal experience).

But Can you think of uses of chocolate other than eating it in confectionery?. Because there are many. Yes, you read that right. Besides giving our taste buds a pleasure, chocolate is actually good for us. Recently declares as a superfood, this delicacy is really useful for human health. You can read about these benefits below.

But that simply doesn’t mean you start having chocolate in every meal because I understand that gobbling bar after bar can never be good for us ( though a cake delivery every now and then won’t harm), so I have curated some unusual methods by which you can possess the benefits of this silky brown heaven without consuming those extra calories. Are you ready for them? Let us begin.

Health benefits

As I promised, starting the article by making you aware of the health benefits that chocolate provides. Remember I told you that chocolate aids the broken heart, well not only broken heart, it really takes care of the heart. Dark chocolate can save you from heart strokes, and attacks when consumed in moderation (about 2 bars per week). The risk of strokes is decreased by 20%, especially among women. Also, in chocolate eaters, the blood clots slowly, which means leading platelets to form clumps slowly. Ultimately decreasing the chances of a heart attack. There is a reason why it is said that chocolate doesn’t go to the stomach; it goes straight to the heart.

As a moisturizing mask

Chocolate is good for the skin. The reason why chocolate is featuring in the list of health foods time and again is that it is loaded with antioxidants. These antioxidants prevent skin from aging and blemishes. Remember that 90’s infomercial on the acne? No? Don’t worry; it showed exactly whatever I’m telling you. Not all researchers agree, but theory also claims that chocolate can save your skin from harmful UV rays from the sun. True or not, there is no harm in munching of this sugary delight, it might work.

As spa treatments

As I already mentioned it, chocolate is good for the skin due to the presence of antioxidants; it can be used for various spa treatments as well. You can Take half a cup of chocolate and put it in the oven, let it melt into a thick paste, now make it cool. You can apply this to your hair as a moisturizing spa mask that leaves your hair Dewey and sweet-smelling. And best of all, chocolate contains antioxidants!let it rest for a few minutes, and then, just wash off and towel dry as usual.

A sophisticated gift

Chocolates make for a sophisticated gift for any age. I mean the fan base of this deep brown delight is just on another level, and no one ever said no to chocolate as a gift. Be it a toddler or a granny everyone is a huge fan of a single bite. My grandfather is a diabetic; even then, he is always tempted to eat it because it is simply impossible to resist it. So, when all else fails, you can choose chocolate to gift someone in your rescue.

Chocolate helps with math

Hey, I just found something that can help you pass your mathematics exam, and that too by giving your taste buds a treat. Consider yourself lucky as the British psychologists have found that the flavanols present in chocolates can help people with their mental maths. The studies even suggest that students who binge on chocolates while revising maths tend to understand and remember better. You might gain some weight by binge eating, but you may gain some real benefits too suggests the British Telegraph reported. So when is your maths exam approaching? Now, binge on chocolate without having to think twice and save that brain from solving maths problems and leaving the rest on chocolate.

See how important chocolate is for survival. If you feel guilty while munching on too much chocolate, just cheat your body and consume it in some other form, like a chocolate cake, maybe?.

So next time you order chocolate cake online, you might not feel guilty. Because now you have got every reason to do so.
